We are unique

We are each unique. And we are always changing and evolving. Who we are, who we were, and who we are becoming is a result of our experiences, our interactions. We may not be the same as we were in our early adult life. We had different responsibilites and different roles. We must continue to embrace our roles and experiences as part of who we are but we must also try not to be solely defined by these roles.

Who am I besides a mom? Who am I besides a wife? Who am I besides a daughter, an employee, a friend? I am so grateful for my marriage, my children, my family, my friends and my life, but it dawned on me that I was neglecting all of my previous passions and interests, and that I had to fit myself in the equation too.

By prioritizing self-care and wellness, I’m making myself important too. Wellness was always my passion. I earned my B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science/Sports Medicine. I was a personal fitness trainer and consultant before I went back for my MBA and my purpose was always to share the benefits of wellness. Functional fitness and wellness to achieve a healthy happy life. I’m reclaiming this passion and sharing the importance of this self-care. It’s changed my life again. I’m better at all my roles now because I have the energy and self worth to know that I’m doing the best I can and that that’s okay!!
