May today there be peace within

“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.”

–This was from an email that I was supposed to forward, but I decided that a post to the blog should count! I thought it was a great inspirational message today.

SPA Self-care Fitness Tip:
Muscle is the most metabolically active tissue in the body. Work those muscles with an interval strength training workout and you’ll boost your metabolism, your energy and…..if your kids are involved, you’ll get some good belly laughs too!!!

A quick circuit idea that you can even do with your little ones under foot:

1. 20 pushups

2. 20 squats with proper form (abs tight, chest up and pretend your sitting back in a chair)

3. Hold plank position for 1 minute
(longer if you can!)

4. Walking lunges or take a few trips up your stairs, skipping a step at a time to create a lunge effect.
