If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~Anne Bradstreet
There are times in our lives when mistakes are made; there are times when we see pain around us or feel pain ourselves; there are times when illness impacts our loved ones; there are times we are forced to confront harsh realities and we must try to find ways to forgive, ways to heal, ways to learn, ways to grow and overcome. We find strength where we can and fix what we can.
Let spring be a time to let light in to the dark shady corners….exposing what needs cleaning and renewing.
Yes, the house probably needs plenty of TLC but also let spring be a time to clean out the soul and choose a path of courage, acceptance, forgiveness, love and growth.
My eyes are open wide this spring and I count my blessings every day – especially for my family and my amazing children and husband.
