I’m going to make peace with getting behind on my blog with a quick recap of what’s been happening. And because I’m often so hard on myself for not getting enough done – I’m going to share all the positive things I DID make time for vs. what I did not!
1. Bootcamp: I finished out strong last week….the final week out of 13 weeks of 3 classes per week! We completed our assessments and my results: 85 pushups! (50 full pushups, and 35 more on my knees) holding a 2 minute plank pose; running 3 miles up hill (okay a 2% grade but it was a challenge!) in 30 minutes with a side stitch; and nearly 3% loss of bodyfat.
3. Audio Books on my iPhone: Came up with a great idea to listen to some great self improvement audiobooks to inspire and motivate while I’m doing the cleaning sweep that I do once the kids go to bed. This small discovery has helped me immensly: to inspire & motivate me, keep positive and learn some great tips.
My current titles that I’ve downloaded from audible.com: The Now Habit by Neil Fiore, Practicing the Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle, and the Power of Intention, by Wayne Dyer.
And a few favorite tips so far: YOU MUST SCHEDULE GUILT FREE PLAY OR YOU ARE PROCRASTINATING ON LIVING. Schedule Guilt-free play and use it as a motivator to get things done in smaller blocks of time. You’ll be more effective, more creative and happier using this positive motivator to “pull” you towards your goals! I think I’m going to put some guilt-free play time on my schedule right now!!! 🙂
